Harmony 1000

Oh momma! Baby want num-nums!

Logitech’s new Harmony 1000 remote control is hot hot hot! It has a 3.5″ color touch screen with optional RF wireless extender. It uses the same activity based menu system that the Harmony 880 does as well as the online setup over USB. The remote retrails for $499 *ouch*. Is it worth it for the touch screen super color goodness?

  1. I’ve been preaching for years the Microsoft should include this kind of universal remote functionality in the PocketPC and focus on the media capabilities of the PocketPC. But apparently nobody wants smart universal remotes or portable media players, so I can only imagine that this and other products like it and those in the media player category will fail.

All people want to do is view spreadsheets on a two inch screen. Only when all other companies realize that will they become successful.
