Amazon not taking anymore Wii preorders

Although disappointing to its customers and, IMHO, puts risk to the brand as a destination for highly sought-after products, amazon.com has done the responsible thing and announced that they will not be taking pre-orders for the Wii due to an inability to guarantee product inventory. It’s better than the full anal raping that Fry’s is giving its customers, or the Donkey Punch treatment that Game Stop is giving out (now establishing as a regular holiday season tradition).

Bravo to the amazon.com team for making the best of a bad situation. A bad, bad one. Bad.

Amazon not taking anymore Wii preorders:

‘This was not an easy decision, but we made the decision because we want to ensure that we can fulfill all of the orders that are placed within a reasonable time period. We understand your frustration, but we believe it would be extremely irresponsible if we took preorders for product that we may not be able to deliver until 2007.’ – Amazon rep

  1. That is responsible of Amazon.com, I am impressed, I am so tired of the shady marketing/supply and demand of these console makers (Microsoft included). We just want the GD product!
